ABSTRACT

The present study provides a checklist of the members of genus Ficus found in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. A total of 58 taxa of Ficus have been enlisted along with phenology and distribution at district level of each taxa is provided. Eleven taxa are distributed in all the 5 states and maximum number members are found in West Bengal (46 taxa), followed by Jharkhand (25 taxa), Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh (20 taxa each) and Bihar (19 taxa).
